Packing up!

Hey, I feel like I just wrote a post with that same heading. 9 months has gone by really fast. We have enjoyed our time in Seattle. We have been blessed to do a lot of fun things and spend a lot of time together as a family, which is awesome. I think all three of us will go through withdrawls come Monday morning when the lovely alarm clock goes off, and Chris heads out to work all day!! This was a unique experience and we will always remember it as such amazing time for our little family!

Mother's day 2009.

Chris and Si got me a picture of Seattle that is just a map of the neighborhoods, which I had wanted. We visited a lot of them in the last 9 months, so it will be a fun to have it up and remember the good old days in Seattle.

Chris took Si to Fred Meyer and he decorated a cake for me all by himself. It was so cute. He was very proud that he made it.
We also went to the Sounders game on Mother's day thanks to our wonderful friends Nigel and Nicole. It was so fun to spend mother's day with them. Nigel (Noah and Daniel) and Chris (Silas) did a great job of spoiling us and making it special. The game was so fun, but Chris was very unhappy that it ended in a tie.

Making some noise. He loves soccer, so he was very into it. Now every time we play soccer he gets to be the sounders and we have to be the cougars.

Fun in Sea-town!

Museum of Flight
I love C's face in this picture. He makes everything more fun!!

Down at the water front. I put this one on because I think my hubby looks hot in it :)

Curious George exhibit at the Seattle Children's museum.

My little preacher boy!

Si is very into learning, as much about the Bible, as he can. Here he is sleeping with his little Bible that he carries around with him everywhere. He was walking down the street in Seattle the other day talking very loudly about Jesus, which makes us smile, and we have had a few comments from people passing by. I pray daily that he continues to thirst for Jesus!!

My favorite Si story lately happened the other day at Fred Meyer. I put him in the cart and he buckled himself in and told me he was in jail now. I said that made me sad, and that I would never want him to be in jail. He asked why and I told him that is for bad people and I never want him to be bad. He said good people go to jail mom. I said no they don't, then he told me that Peter from the Bible was in jail....I stand corrected:) I have to say I love being his mom, he is such a blessing to us.

Si's long curly hair.

I've had some requests for a pic. of how long Si's hair is getting. Here a few from our trip to Florida and the southeast that show his curls. I'll post some more pic's from this trip in July at the rate I'm going:)

Swimming with his "muscles" on. He just discovered that he liked water wings on this trip.
Lounging by the pool!
Touring the cockpit of our airplane on the way home. I didn't know you could still do that.

Our trip to California!

I know I'm very bad about posting new pictures, so I'm just now posting from our trip back in Dec. better late than never I guess. We started in Sacramento with Bob's family. It was so nice just hanging out and letting the kids play. We celebrated and early Christmas with them.

We went to an indoor playground that was so fun. Si still asks to go back there.

Legoland

Most all the rides were geared towards his age group, so this was his favorite. He loved all the rides. This is the mini log ride. It was the perfect size for him.

They had big climbing forts that were fun.

A horse ride by himself, which went a ways away. I was a little freaked out, but he did fine.

Driving not on a track was interesting.

Seaworld

Sea world was very fun. We all really liked it. We won a shamu, which was very exciting to a 3 yr. old.

There was hardly anyone there. Here I am by myself.

Si doing what the trainer was doing during the Shamu show...very cute.

Free beer at Sea world....highlight of his day.

Si is standing in front of the Shamu tank. Everytime Shamu would swim by, Si would yell and run around. He grabbed our cup to show shamu that it matched him.

Petting the stingrays.

The kids zone was great. This is a big bouncy pillow that Si has to himself, did I mention how nice it was to have no crowds.

The fun elmo rides.

Eating donuts at the beach, before Sea world. Si just chased the seagulls around.

Disneyland.

Our first park was Disneyland. Si didn't like a lot of it. He only liked the rides that were outside. He did not like the rides that took you into a building and were dark and things light-up, or jump out at you. He does not like the unknown it makes him very nervous, so we stuck to the roller coasters, which he loved, tea cups, dumbo etc. He liked meeting all the characters.

Everything was decked out for Christmas, which was pretty.
We enjoyed the parade. Here is Si's current favorite, Buzz lightyear.

He really liked the dumbo ride.

California trip in Dec. before Christmas.

We started in Anaheim with a character breakfast.

Si thought they were very funny.

The breakfast items were so cute for kids. Everything Mickey down there.

Santa Monica Peir.

We visited My bother Bob's family in Sacramento. We had fun seeing their new house and sightseeing. We went to the old governor's mansion and visited with Santa. We had so much fun.

All the fun stuff in Seattle!

Thomas Live at Key Arena. Si loved it. He was dancing in the aisles a lot of the time. We got a lot of comments afterwards about our cute dancing boy!

Chris wasn't as big of a fan. At intermission, he found a spot to lay down.

Disney Live at the Paramount. Very Fun.

At first Si wasn't to sure about the dark theater, but he warmend up.

Silas' birthday party at Mcdonalds in Wenatchee

Si playing a game with the Mcdonald's lady.

He had a lot of fun with all his friends.
